About This Role
We are hiring a Deck Carpenter Assistant to support our deck construction team. You will learn professional carpentry skills while assisting with deck builds. This is a great opportunity to develop a career in the trades with hands-on training from experienced carpenters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead carpenters with measuring, cutting, and installation
- Organize and transport lumber, tools, and materials
- Support deck framing, board installation, and railing assembly
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Learn proper use of power tools and hand tools
- Prepare job sites and perform end-of-day cleanup
- Load and unload materials from vehicles
- Follow instructions from lead carpenter and supervisor
Requirements
- Construction or carpentry experience (preferred, not required)
- Basic familiarity with hand tools (preferred)
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Own transportation to job sites (preferred)
