Wood Fence, Retaining Wall & Paver Walkway in Mississauga

The Customer reached out to us for a few jobs at once: a tired fence that needed replacing, a retaining wall, and some landscaping. We put together one plan that handled everything and gave a clean, finished backyard from front to back. We built a new pressure treated privacy fence along the side and back of the property, set on posts sunk deep in concrete so the whole run stays straight and solid for years. To match, we made a custom wood gate with its own frame and a small side section, giving her easy access while keeping the look consistent. As the photos show, the fence follows the natural slope of the yard cleanly, with capped posts and a tidy top line. The retaining wall was the technical heart of the job. We built it from segmental stone blocks over a compacted gravel base, with geogrid, fabric, and a full drainage system of clear stone and pipe behind it. Partway through, we found part of an old wall hidden behind bushes and a section of fence, with the ground dropping about a foot and a half in that area. Left alone, that slope would have pushed against the new fence over time. We flagged it right away and extended the wall to take the pressure off, which protects the fence and keeps everything stable for the long run. To finish, we laid a Permacon Kensington paver walkway and patio on a fresh compacted base, with two new steps, and carried the walkway from the gate out to the driveway the way Ruth wanted. The final result is a backyard that looks great and works properly. A private, solid fence, a wall that holds the grade and manages water, and clean stonework tying it all together.
